Hi Maryse!

I have a book I’m having finding again. It’s a historical romance, I believe set in Scotland.

The story starts with a woman who has been recently widowed. To protect her, a man who she sees as a brother, arranges for her to marry someone he trusts.

I don’t want to spoil too much, but there is a scene where she climbs a tree to get away from wolves.

It had a trigger warning for abuse/trauma. It also covered infertility. And the heroine is stubborn and strong willed which frustrates her husband because she can end up in danger.

I wanted to read it again, but can’t find it. Thank you for taking the time to read this
