Sarah needs our book help! Oooooh I think I read this one!!! I’ve read a couple like this years ago ’cause I’m always a sucker of a disgruntled, grumpy Hero.

She asks:

Hey Maryse,

I’m trying to find a book I read a few years ago, but I can’t remember the title.

From what I recall, it was about a woman who sought refuge at the hero’s house but I am not sure about this part. I think he was either a cowboy or a rancher, or maybe the story was set in a small town—I’m not entirely sure.

She arrived at his house looking for a job and ended up working there.

If I remember correctly, he had one or two sons, or maybe they were his nephews. I also think she might have had a young child, but I’m not certain about that part.

The hero was definitely grumpy, though!
