I’m Dash Richmond. Throughout my relatively short life, a few folks along the way have labelled me as a smidge too full of myself. I can guarantee that at least one of those few, thinks that a smidge is an absurdly tiny amount based on the way I lead my life. And since winning matters to Beau, it would be right for me to let him bask in the glory of the triumph. But there’s zero way I’m handing over such a trophy. He’d like that way too much. And he’s honestly wrong in his assumption. What he confuses as arrogance, I see as determination and devotion to spend the rest of my life with that man.
Honestly, another something I’d never admit to Beau, I relished the way he went at driving his opinions home, making it crystal clear which king wore the crown inside our home. The cheeky grin he gives me, curls my toes, leaving me to want more. I glanced at my wristwatch, wondering when my beautiful Beau would be off work this evening.
Forget the wait! With the chaos building inside me, I needed to tackle downtown Chicago traffic to outpace Beau to the finish line, i.e., our home.
